CASIOPEA

An essential album for all Jazz Fusion fans. Must be heard to believe! Too bad this particular CD version are not very good in terms of mastering,sure they used DSD so it help a bit in terms of dynamic range but... The volume mastered for this CD were raised so high that my ear starts to irritate. Pretty minimal packaging design,and the texts would need a magnifying glass to read. With the right amount of mastering this album can really shine but for this CD version it's a bit overdone.

This cd is the very necessary for Casiopea fans of the current era. Indeed it is the standard that ALL Jazz/Rock cds should measure up to. Casiopea's intentions of impressing the listener with original, rugged jams are evident in songs like Midnight Rendevous, Black Joke, Time Limit and swallow. The only song that may bother the listener is Dream Hill which has Japanese vocals. If you know the language then that might even be a plus for this cd. Altogether the jazz is excellent for anyone looking for powerful playing of Jazz.
