Description

[Machine Translation] The story takes place in postwar Kyoto in 1951. Ichihi (Mugi Kadowaki), the daughter of Kuwanoki, a long-established ryotei restaurant, has lost her husband and spends her days working as a chef in the kitchen of a hotel. Ichihi is determined to make a living in the world of Western cuisine, but her family's ryotei restaurant, Kuwanoki, is in danger of losing business as customers continue to leave after the war. In order to receive support for the ryotei, Ichihi is offered a marriage proposal with the Yamaguchi family, a hotel owner in Osaka, but the offer is unexpectedly made to a 19-year-old university student, Zhou (Sakuma Ryuto). Ichihi and Shu, who is a young man with a sharp and harsh "ao-to" (green pepper) like tongue in cheek remarks, are in a state of conflict, but Ichihi, with a "nagatan" (kitchen knife) left by her late husband in hand, decides to enter into a political marriage in order to rebuild "Kuwanoki". 舞台は1951年、戦後の京都。老舗料亭「桑乃木」の娘・いち日 (門脇麦)は夫を亡くし、ホテルの厨房で料理人として働く日々を送っていた。西洋料理の世界で生きていく決意をしたいち日だったが、一方で実家の料亭「桑乃木」は戦後の客離れが止まらず、経営危機にさらされていた。料亭への援助を受けるため、大阪のホテル経営者・山口家との縁談が持ち上がるが、そのお相手はまさかの19歳の大学生・周 (作間龍斗)。周は、つんと辛い"青と" (青とうがらし)のような歯に衣着せぬ発言をする若者で、いち日と一触即発の状態となるが――いち日は亡き夫が残した"ながたん" (包丁)を手に、「桑乃木」再建のため、政略結婚を決意する。オリジナルブックレット封入。
