This is the second album from Helloween to feature the reunited line-up with Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske. Expectations were pretty high, as the previous self titled album was one of their best in many years. This 2CD version features 10 songs, plus a bonus disc with one exclusive song 'Out Of Control' as well as three slightly different versions of 'Under The Sun', which is also found on the original album. The songs on the main disc are all pretty solid, with my favourites being the super melodic 'A Little Is a Little Too Much' and the ferocious opener of 'Giants On The Run'. Vocals are shared with Andi Deris and the for mentioned Hansen and Kiske, with each singer having their own distinct sound and unique qualities. But the real magic is when all their voices come together in the one song and take things to a higher level. The album has a very distinctive 1980's feel from the production, the drums sounding perhaps a little too high in the mix, with some of the guitars not as sharp as the previous album. If your already a fan of this legendary band, then you won't be disappointed, if new to the band this is a perfectly good place to start.
