昨夏、11度目となるヨーロッパツアーを敢行、2度目の出演となるイギリス最大級のフェス"グラストンベリー"へも出演、ワールドクラスのインストゥルメンタル・バンドとしてとどまること無く、最前線で活躍中のSOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS。前作「Brothers & Sisiters」から1年半振りとなるオリジナルアルバムが完成! 本作のテーマは「Mellow」。Death Jazzと呼称されるラウドなジャズの片鱗はみせつつも、70年代のレアグルーブ、ジャズファンクから90年代のアシッドジャズを経て続く2010年代のメロウグルーブを標榜したアルバム。インスト曲を中心とした作品ながら、ボーカルやラップをフューチャーした楽曲も収録。今巷で注目のバンド、ペトロールズの長岡亮介をボーカルに迎えた楽曲をはじめ、名うてのミュージシャンを要所に起用した作品となっている。フジテレビボクシング中継 テーマソング「SEKAI」他、全11曲収録予定。初回限定盤は、レコーディングの全貌とメンバーのリアルな制作風景を納めたドキュメンタリー・フィルムを収録したDVD付き。レコーディング・ドキュメントはバンドとしては初公開となる。
