今年デビュー20周年を迎えた鬼束ちひろ、3年ぶりとなる待望のオリジナルアルバムが完成。近年発掘されたデビュー前後に弾き語り録音されたデモテープ。それは当時書き溜めていながら形にならなかった数多の楽曲たち。今作はそこから厳選されたメロディーに現在の彼女が新たに歌詞を乗せるという新たな試みで完成された全10曲を収録。本来言葉とメロディーを同時に紡ぎ出す彼女の作風とはまた一味違う、20年の時を経て過去の鬼束ちひろと現在の鬼束ちひろが鏡合わせのように対峙して生まれた、デビュー20周年に相応しいコンセプチュアルでメモリアルな作品が誕生した。サウンドプロデューサーにはドラマ「ポルノグラファー～インディゴの気分～」の主題歌として話題となった「End of the world」で新しい鬼束ワールドを創り出した気鋭の音楽家、兼松衆を起用。新しくもどこか懐かしい。鬼束ちひろの原点と現在、そしてこれからを感じさせるアルバムとなっている。
