I keenly awaited this because it's Kaela's first in ages and she's accompanied by some of the cream of J-rock. It's good enough but it suffers from the malaise of many covers/tribute albums: few of the songs match the originals and there's no fire in most. "Fight for the Right" is a good try, Lou Reed is far too sanitised and "My Generation" lacks the necessary venom. My vote for way the best is "Heart of Glass": different enough not to be a copy AND supported by Chatmonchy. But overall? Kaela has done better rock songs of her own, from Sadistic Mica Band on.
