      Not What I Expected 2

I bought this CD because I heard her Korean album. Yes, she's yet another Korean singer that tried to make it the Japanese market. I loved the Korean CD and thought this one would be up to par. Unfortunately, its not. The CD is made up of some songs from her Korean album (in Korean), some songs from her Korean album turned into English, and some Japanese songs that aren't that great. I was expecting a R&B/Hip Pop sound from her but it was more...Jpopish. I guess she tried to stay on the safe side but it didn't work for me. There are some notable songs. The first single she released, "Hajime kara Imamade" is a great song. Her cover of "Got To Be Real" was good. The last track on the album is a really relaxing song. "Harvest," one of the songs turned into English, is still catchy. Her English is understandable but you still hear her accent. In some Japanese songs, though, you can really hear an accent. Her voice is good and has a lot of potential but I think she should work more on vocal control. Overall, I would just say buy her Korean CD which was more entertaining and catchy. I really think if she kept the sound that she used in Korea, she might have did better in Japan.
