[EMI Legacy Vinyl Collection Vol.1] "東芝EMI"の隠れた名盤をアナログレコードで振り返るシリーズの第一弾。今回はシティ・ポップの要素を感じ取れる5タイトルをリリース! ■作詞や作曲も自らこなす大阪生まれの実力派シンガー、岩下清香。ラジオ・パーソナリティなどとしても多彩に活躍している。もともとポスト・パンク的バンド=LOTUS ENDのメンバーとして活動していた岩下は、ムーンライダーズ/岡田徹の後ろ盾を受けるかたちでソロ・デビュー。『眠らせないで』と『風がつれてきた季節』という2枚のアルバムを発表した。その内容は、フォーキーながらもR&B的ブラック感を色濃く漂わせるもの。そういう意味で、すでにこの頃から彼女の"ブラック系ミュージック嗜好"は具現化していたといえる。プロデュースは井出靖。Graet3の片寄明人, チチ松村, 杉真理など豪華な作家陣を迎え、アレンジには、UAのプロデューサーとして知られる朝本浩文、オリジナル・ラブの木原龍太郎、元ルースターズの井上富雄などが参加。 (オリジナル発売: 1996年)
