2005年発表のアルバム『ア・ビガー・バン』以来となる、18年ぶりの新作スタジオ・アルバム。アルバムは12曲入りで、アルバムのレコーディングは、ロサンゼルスのヘンソン・レコーディング・スタジオ、ロンドンのメトロポリス・スタジオ、バハマのナッソーのサンクチュアリ・スタジオ、ニューヨークのエレクトリック・レディ・スタジオ、同じくニューヨークのザ・ヒット・ファクトリー/ジャマーノ・スタジオなど世界中の様々な場所で行なわれた。『ハックニー・ダイアモンズ』は、ストーンズ (ミック・ジャガー、キース・リチャーズ、ロニー・ウッド)とニューヨーク出身のプロデューサー兼ミュージシャンのアンドリュー・ワットとの初めてのコラボレーション作品。アンドリューは、2021年のグラミー賞でプロデューサー・オブ・ザ・イヤー賞を受賞し、過去にパール・ジャム、イギー・ポップ、エルトン・ジョンなどの作品を担当。ファースト・シングル「アングリー」のビデオは、シドニー・スウィーニー主演で、フランソワ・ルッスレが監督。『ハックニー・ダイアモンズ』のオリジナル・アートワークは、デジタル・アニメーターのパウリナ・アルミラの作。2021年にこの世を去ったチャーリー・ワッツの演奏をフィーチャーした曲が7曲目の「メス・イット・アップ」と8曲目の「リヴ・バイ・ザ・ソード」。「リヴ・バイ・ザ・ソード」には元メンバーのビル・ワイマンがベースで参加している。11曲目の「スウィート・サウンズ・オブ・ヘヴン」には、レディー・ガガ (ヴォーカル)とスティーヴィー・ワンダー (キーボード&ピアノ)が参加。ポール・マッカートニーがベースで「バイト・マイ・へッド・オフ」、エルトン・ジョンがピアノで「ゲット・クロース」、「リヴ・バイ・ザ・ソード」にそれぞれ参加している。直輸入仕様。＜日本盤のみ＞ 英文解説翻訳付、歌詞対訳付。 ※本商品は金曜販売開始商品のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。

The pressing corresponds to the normal European version. The only addition is a cheap-looking OBI sticker and a Japanese text insert. Absolutely no added value compared to the standard European versions.
