Although the pronunciation can be a bit off, you can tell they've all worked pretty hard at giving high-quality versions of the classic songs. I actually really like BEAT CRUSADERS' version of "Solitaire", because they've layered their own style on top of the original. They bring the recent trend of fuzzy guitars and shouting to a song that could have come straight from the modern catalogue of love gone wrong, giving the timeless lyrics and melodies another lease of life. Other songs in this collection are more traditional, but no less moving. A highlight is the boy-band styling of "Rainy Days And Mondays" by MONKEY MAJIK.

This is a great Carpenters tribute albums. I bought it because Chihiro Onitsuka sings the first song (I Need to be in Love). But, the rest of the CD is great too. Superstar, sung by Beni, is probably one of the best vocals on the album. In my opinion, they could have gotten someone better to sing Solitaire. It is not sung in the traditional way, but in a rock style. If you can accept that, then its a pretty good rendition. Over all, I enjoyed the album.
