sadly this was not one of my favorite records by this legendary band, they did some good covers on here and barroom was a killer song but that was about it, the title of this record i feel speaks for itself as i feel a lot of these songs where recorded during earlier sessions and vertigo needed one more lp from the sahb before ( whatever reason) they could drop them, sadly this was the last lp on the major vertigo label, there would be 2 more sahb lps after this (stories in 1976 and rock drill my favorite in 1977) stories and rock drill came out on the mountain label in the uk so they did not get as much press when they where released, regardless this was a great collection of songs to kick off 1976 with, sadly alex passed on back in 1982 after a failed solo carrere in europe but i liked that one record he did in 1979 called the mafia stole my guitar, i can only hope the airmail label does that title and rock drill as well as stories in this format in japan, as with the others the remastering is awesome on this and the lp replication is perfect as per the original uk and japan lps. also lets not forget the 1977 lp the sahb (without alex) album that was good to

Great Album... More of a time buyer for the band after the successes reaped from LIVE. All great cover songs. They had a great talent for making the tune their own. A testament to their versatility and a good tip o' the hat to some of their influences.
