Reissue features the high-fidelity SHM-SACD format (fully compatible with standard SACD player, but it does not play on standard CD players). This is the latest reissue series of Blue Note, the most powerful jazz label in history, commemorating the 85th anniversary of its foundation. The latest remastering was done by Kevin Gray, an engineer who has also been a master of US Blue Note's analog reissue series such as "Tone Poet" and "Classic Vinyl." By using the 96kHz/24bit digital source material he created for the analog reissues, he has reproduced the sound of the original master tapes as faithfully as possible to achieve the ultimate analog sound.
