世界を駆けるピアニスト、上原ひろみ。新プロジェクト"Hiromi's Sonicwonder"始動! 音楽を手がけたアニメ映画『BLUE GIANT』のサウンドトラックがヒットを記録するなかリリースする2年ぶりのオリジナル・アルバム。新プロジェクト"Hiromi's Sonicwonder"は、アドリアン・フェロー (b)～ジーン・コイ (ds)～アダム・オファリル (tp)という気鋭のミュージシャンと組んだ4人組編成で、コロナ禍を吹き飛ばすようなアグレッシヴでパワフルなサウンド。今回のプロジェクト用に書き下ろした新曲に加え、コロナ禍中に自身のSNS企画『One Minute Portrait』で発表した楽曲などをリアレンジし収録。また、「レミニセンス」にはUKのシンガー・ソングライター/鍵盤奏者のオリー・ロックバーガーがヴォーカルで参加 (歌詞も上原とオリーの共作)。ジャケットのイラストレーションは、ウェザー・リポート『ヘヴィー・ウェザー』はじめ、1970年代より数多くの名盤を手がけてきたルー・ビーチによる描き下ろし。初回限定盤ボーナスDVDには、2種のドキュメンタリー映像を収録予定。日本のみの発売。2023年5月25日～28日、カリフォルニア州ニカシオ、スカイウォーカー・サウンド・ステージにて録音。
