This album is the second time Tedeschi Trucks revisit a classic oldie in a live performance (Layla being the first one).The horns and piano take center stage with the UHQCD format, but despite all the special guests and awesome song selection its Derek Truck that steals the show. Minimalist at times and over the top at others. real virtuoso work. 10/10 album

テデスキ・トラックス・バンドによる3年ぶりの新作は、ジョー・コッカーと伝説のキーボーディスト/バンドリーダーのレオン・ラッセルが1970年に大規模なミュージシャン・アンサンブルを率いて行ったソウルフルなツアー、『Mad Dogs & Englishmen』を2015年にTTBが再現したトリビュート・ライヴ作品。2021年にリリースの大ヒット・アルバム『レイラ・リヴィジテッド』に続く、リヴィジテッド・ライヴ第2作目。2015年、ギターの名手デレク・トラックスとパワフルなヴォーカリスト、スーザン・テデスキが率いるテデスキ・トラックス・バンドは、この画期的なイベントを復活させ、彼ら独自のサザンソウル、ブルース、ロックのブレンドを吹き込んだ。ジョー・コッカーのオリジナルにも参加していたレオン・ラッセルも参加した本作は音楽史上最も象徴的なライブ・ロック・コラボレーションのひとつへの活気に満ちたトリビュートとなっている。2015年のロックン・フェスティバルで行われた復活コンサートには、TTBの12人編成のアンサンブルだけでなく、リタ・クーリッジ、クリス・ステイントン、クラウディア・レニアといったマッド・ドッグスのオリジナル・メンバーに加え、ザ・ブラック・クロウズのクリス・ロビンソン、ウォーレン・ヘインズ、アンダース・オズボーン、デイヴ・メイスンなど、現代のコラボレーターも多彩に迎えた。ステージはしばしば20人以上のミュージシャンに膨れ上がり、オリジナル・ツアーの壮大で共同体的な精神を再現している。 ※本商品は金曜販売開始商品のため、商品のお届けは発売日当日以降になります。
