ニューヨークを拠点に世界を駆ける、日本が誇るジャズ・ピアニスト山中千尋。本作は、実に2年半振りとなる全編ニューヨークでの新録音で届けられる、待望のニュー・アルバム。美しいテーマが印象的な本人書き下ろしの新曲「Today Is Another Day」と「Old Days」、キース・ジャレットの名曲「So Tender」、財津和夫による「切手のないおくりもの」など、バラエティに富んだ楽曲をセレクト。ピアノ・トリオ編成で、山中の真骨頂でもあるエネルギッシュかつリリカルなプレイを存分に楽しむことができる。本作のバックを支えるのは、山中のアフター・アワーズ・トリオとしても長年活躍を続ける脇義典 (b)、アビー・リンカーン作品への参加やデューク・エリントン・オーケストラとしての活動も知られるジェニファー・ヴィンセント (b)、そして2001年に発表された山中のCDデビュー作『リヴィング・ウィズアウト・フライデイ』にも参加した盟友ラフラエ・オリヴィア・サイ (ds)。限定盤には、レコーディング時に撮影された貴重なパフォーマンス映像を4曲収録。
