Ongakuniwa Kansha Shiteiru [SHM-CD]

Yasuharu Konishi, now active as a music producer and DJ, was the bandleader of Pizzicato Five, which disbanded in 2001 after gaining tremendous support not only in Japan but also from fashion, film, and music circles overseas as a central group of the 1990s music movement known as Shibuya-kei, and after performing worldwide. In 2011, he launched the solo project "PIZZICATO ONE" and released three albums. In 2022, after being invited to perform a guitar-and-vocal solo live show, he discovered the act of "singing his own past songs himself," and since then he has continued to perform on stage with various ensembles. In 2024, he released "Shitsuren to Tokuren," his first album under the name Yasuharu Konishi, recorded with a five-member ensemble. Two years later, he is releasing two guitar-and-vocal solo albums simultaneously for the first time in his career. Both works feature repertoire from the Pizzicato Five era and self-written songs provided to other artists, performed only with guitar and voice. With the smallest possible arrangement and the creator's own singing voice, the world expressed here vividly conveys the appeal contained within the songs.

90年代の音楽ムーヴメント「渋谷系」の中心的グループとして、日本はもとより海外のファッション・映画・音楽関係者から絶大な支持を得てワールドワイドに活動、2001月に解散したピチカート・ファイヴのバンドリーダーであり、現在は音楽プロデューサー/DJとして活躍する小西康陽。2011年にソロ・プロジェクト「PIZZICATO ONE」を立ち上げ、3枚のアルバムをリリース。2022年、誘われるままにギター弾き語りのライヴを行ったことから、「過去の自作曲を自ら歌うこと」に目覚め、以来、さまざまなアンサンブルでステージを展開中。2024年には5人編成のアンサンブルでレコーディングした初の「小西康陽」名義のアルバム『失恋と得恋』を発表した。それから2年を経て、キャリア初となる弾き語りアルバムを2タイトル同時リリース。いずれもピチカート・ファイヴ時代のレパートリーや他のアーティストへ提供した自作曲をギターと歌声のみで聴かせる作品。最小の編成で、作者自身の歌声により表現される世界は、楽曲に込められた魅力を生々しく伝えてくれる。
