[Machine Translation] Five record makers (EMI, King, Columbia, Victor, and Teichiku) have reissued irreplaceable and valuable Japanese chanson recordings in the "LA CHANSON AU JAPON" series. Hiroshi Ashino was the driving force behind the chanson boom, appearing on NHK's Kohaku Uta Gassen for 10 consecutive years and serving as the second president of the Japan Chanson Association. A treasure of the chanson world who was decorated by France for his various achievements, he passed away in February. This is a memorial disc featuring his greatest hits, including four rare SP recordings from Victor and Nippon Columbia.
