      Girl poprock fun, indeed! 3

Nakanomori Band is not a band I would recommend based on musical talents. To be blunt, they're not talented at all. However, what they lack in technical skills, they make up for in personality. Each and every track on their new album screams "FUN!". Like cotton candy, Nakanomori Band's debut album "OH MY DARLIN'-Girls having Fun-" is light and fluffy, slightly sweet, has little substance but still nice to listen. They're a throwback to a rosy high school teenager's life that involved 1. Conflict with parents and society, 2. Does that person like me?, 3. I want to see you, 4. Let's go party! Of the individual tracks, track 05, Renai Express, is by far the best track on the album. With a perfect combination of pop melodies and a complex beat (most likely performed by studio musicians) it transcends all other songs. The other noteworthy song is the simple "Pink Monster" (track 02), and the sweetly fluffy "Oh My Darlin'" (their third single and track 04). In fact, I would venture to say the first five tracks of this cd are nice, while the rest of the album fails to keep the momentum set by Renai Express.
