Description

Santaro, the third son of Jirocho's family, is clumsy but somehow popular with women. He sets out on a journey in Jirocho's place to deliver a gift to Ginbei, the Shinei, to celebrate the birth of his first grandchild. Omon, the daughter of Maririn-tei Izakaya, is worried about Santaro, who is not very fluent in the art of jingi, so she follows him in his crotchety traveling clothes. Directed by Aoyagi Nobuo of the "Sazae-san" series. Hisaya Morishige plays Ishimatsu's ghost from "Jirocho Sangokushi" and Akio Kobori plays Jirocho. A still gallery is included as a video bonus.

[東宝DVD名作セレクション] 鬼より恐い清水一家数多身内のある中でドジで臆病で大間抜け・・・ ――ドジだがなぜか女にモテる次郎長一家の三下、灰神楽の三太郎。鐘馗の銀兵衛に初孫誕生の祝いの品を届けるため、次郎長の名代として旅に出た。居酒屋まりりん亭の看板娘・お紋は、仁義の口上もたどたどしい三太郎が心配で股旅姿でついてゆく。案の定、三太郎は間違えて、銀兵衛を目の敵にしている赤鬼の金平に祝いの品を届けてしまう・・・。作家で落語・寄席研究家の正岡容が初代相模太郎のために書いた浪曲「灰神楽三太郎」を原案にした喜劇映画。監督は「サザエさん」シリーズの青柳信雄。「次郎長三国志」からは森繁久彌が煙管の煙と共に現れる石松の幽霊役で、小堀明男が次郎長役で出演。映像特典には、スチールギャラリーを収録。
