[東宝DVD名作セレクション] 明治開化の大阪船場、淡雪も灯影にとけて むかしの恋に泣くお澪。多彩な時代色の中に一人のあでびとをめぐって綴られる千歳華麗なリリシズム。――お澪 (花井蘭子) は大阪、船場の回漕店兵庫屋の娘として何不自由なく暮らしていた。父親・治兵 (進藤英太郎) は時代の波に乗って店の儲けを増やそうと躍起だ。ある日、お澪と許婚の柵次 (藤尾純) は困っていたお篠 (山根寿子) を助け、その縁でお篠はお澪の許で暮らすようになった。お篠は気立てのいい可憐さでお澪を姉と慕った。お篠の父で零落した士族・宅間鉱平 (高堂黒天) は、妻・おそよ (伊藤智子) と生活を手内職に求めて細々と暮らしている。柵次は、おそよがお澪の生母であることを知り、お澪と会わせるが、お澪はおそよに冷たい態度をとる。そして血を分けた妹だと知ったお篠を家から追い出し、柵次に託すのだった・・・。当時の大阪には明治の街並みが残されておらず、伊勢地方の桑名津、宇治、四日市、山田などロケーションを敢行。船場の町はオープンセットに作られたもの。
