銀河鉄道999 劇場版公開40周年記念作品 舞台 完結! 最後の敵との戦い、そしてメーテルとの別れを軸に、オリジナルストーリーを交えて新たな展開を描く! 前作に続き、主演の鉄郎役を中川晃教、クイーン・エメラルダス役を凰稀かなめ、キャプテン・ハーロック役を平方元基が演じるほか、新たにメーテル役をWキャストとして木下晴香、伊波杏樹、機械伯爵役に前山剛久、プロメシューム役に松下由樹が特別出演するなど豪華な組み合わせが実現。本編はメーテル役木下晴香版、伊波杏樹版の2バージョンを収録! ――機械の体になって永遠の命を手に入れるため、人間狩りで殺された母の仇を討つため、謎の美女メーテルから999号のパスをもらい、一緒に旅立った星野鉄郎。要塞時間城へ辿り着き、母を殺した機械伯爵への復讐を遂げた。鉄郎は、様々な出会い、生身の人間や機械化人たちとの触れ合いによって、限りある生命の美しさに気づき、機械の体をタダでくれるという星を破壊してしまいたいと、新たな想いを抱く。旅を続ける鉄郎を終着駅・惑星大アンドロメダで待っていたのは、機械帝国の女王であり、クイーン・エメラルダスとメーテルの母であるプロメシュームだった―。
