[Machine Translation] Agnes Varda is a pioneering female filmmaker who has been called the "grandmother of the Nouvelle Vague," and was awarded the Palme d'Or Honorary Mention at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, the sixth person in history to receive such an honor, and the Academy Award in 2017 for her more than 60 years of filmmaking. Faces, Places" is a heartwarming road movie-style documentary in which these two artists travel through the French countryside, interacting with the ordinary people who live in the villages and creating works of art together.
