First movie directed by Kaze Shindo in 11 years "Shimajima Kaisha" co-starring Aoi Ito and Sakura Ando becomes DVD. Plot: Set in Kerama Islands. Umi is a girl with excellent hearing. She is suffering from headaches resulting from event small out-of-sync sounds due to this ability, so others thinks she is an oddity. There a professional female violinist, Asako comes to Kerama Islands for a concert. Umi and Yuko meet and a bond forms.

天才子役・伊東蒼×アカデミー賞女優・安藤サクラ主演作品! 故・新藤兼人監督の血を受け継ぐ新藤風監督の11年ぶり新作。――那覇市から西に約40kmに位置する慶良間諸島。耳が良すぎて、少しでも音のズレを感じると頭痛がしてしまう小学生のうみは、三線の名手であるおじいと二人で暮らしていた。ある夏の日、島で開催されるコンサートのためにヴァイオリニストの祐子がやってくる。耳のせいで変わり者扱いされ、母親や友だちとの関係に悩むうみは、祐子と出会い、フルートを練習し吹奏楽部に参加することで、少しずつ頑なに閉ざしていた自分自身を解放していく。祐子もまた、島で漁を営む元サックス奏者の真栄田や、おじいの三線に触れ、都会で荒んでいた心を取り戻していく。祐子の訪れがうみに変化をもたらし、さらには島の人たちもそれぞれの悩みや問題を乗り越えていく――。島々の清らかで美しい自然と音楽とが、人々をつなぎ、自分に向き合う力を与えてくれるひと夏の物語。
