Description

[Machine Translation] Based on historical facts, Roland Emmerich's film tells the story of love and rebellion among young people who gathered in Greenwich Village, N.Y., in the 1960s. The film depicts with powerful emotion the anguish and love of gay youth, who were forbidden by law to even exist and had nowhere to go, and their power and insurrection in pursuit of freedom. Jeremy Irvine plays the role of a pure young man who comes alone from rural Indiana to Christopher Street, a gay neighborhood in New York City. The role of Ray, a gang leader who uses his good looks to sell his body and organize other kids like himself who are male prostitutes without family, is played by Johnny Beauchamp, a rising star whose talent is unanimously praised by his co-stars. Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays the irresistibly charismatic Trevor, a handsome and intelligent activist whom Jeremy admires and is drawn to.
