Numero Zero / Le Cochon [4K Restored Ver.]

[Machine Translation] The time has come to knock on the door of the "cursed filmmaker" who passed away with the words, "To wake the dead, you must knock hard. French filmmaker Jean Eustache became the darling of the age with his masterpiece "Mama and the Whore," which will remain in the history of cinema. In 2024, a 4K digitally remastered version of "Mama and the Whore" was screened in Paris, New York, and other cities, and the world was again astonished by its poignant beauty. The world was again astonished by its tragic beauty. The world was again astonished by its tragic beauty, and even in Japan, where his films have rarely been seen, the full picture, shrouded in mystery, is finally being revealed. The DVD version of the film is now out of print, and the latest 4K restored master has been released for the first time in Japan (Blu-ray), much anticipated by film fans. Number Zero" (4K restored version) -- Jean-Michel Bargeol, co-director of "Pig," suggested to Eustache, who was depressed at the time and worried that he would never be able to make another film, to make a film about a member of his family. The film was made possible when Jean-Michel Bargeol, co-director of "The Pig," suggested that Ustache make a film about one of his own family members. He chose his grandmother Odette Robert as the subject. The result is a film that is both a professional filmmaker's film and an amateur 8mm family film shot on the beach, something that is somewhat incompatible" (Eustache). Pig" (4K restored version) -- Early in the morning, a group of men gather at a country house and pull in a pig... The slaughtering of a pig, the subject of this film, is not a memory of Eustache himself, but one that co-director Jean-Michel Bargeol (a documentary filmmaker from Marseille) saw several times in the Ardeche region when he was a child. The film, in which each filmmaker shot the subjects he or she wanted to shoot the way he or she wanted to shoot them, has the characteristics of an ethnographic film and an experimental film. A booklet explaining the work and postcards are enclosed. This product is a FullHD Blu-ray.
