生きて、抗え。焦土と化した日本に、突如現れたゴジラ。残された名もなき人々に、生きて抗う術はあるのか。ゴジラ70周年記念作品となる本作『ゴジラ-1.0』で監督・脚本・VFXを務めるのは、山崎貴。絶望の象徴が、いま令和に甦る。舞台は戦後の日本。戦争によって焦土と化し、なにもかもを失い文字通り「無(ゼロ)」になったこの国に、追い打ちをかけるように突如ゴジラが出現する。ゴジラはその圧倒的な力で日本を「負(マイナス)」へと叩き落とす。戦争を生き延びた名もなき人々は、ゴジラに対して生きて抗う術を探っていく。主演を神木隆之介、ヒロイン役を浜辺美波が務め、そのほか山田裕貴、青木崇高、吉岡秀隆、安藤サクラ、佐々木蔵之介と実力派豪華キャストが共演。2023年に公開された日本国内実写映画として興行収入は1位を記録。さらには2023年12月にはアメリカでも公開され、2023年に北米で公開された外国語映画として興行収入が1位、全米で公開された歴代邦画実写作品の興行収入1位を記録するなど大ヒット。賞レースでもその勢いは留まらず、第47回日本アカデミー賞では最多12部門で優秀賞を受賞。さらには日本映画として初の快挙となるアメリカの第96回アカデミー賞の視覚効果賞にノミネートもされた。2024年1月12日に映画館にて公開された白黒版となる『ゴジラ-1.0/C』の本編のみを収録。
