以前は"現代音楽を得意とする"指揮者として知られていたロスバウトだったが、SWRに録音された幅広いレパートリーの復刻により、彼の様々な面に光が当たるようになった。第5弾となるシリーズは、モーツァルトの作品集。過剰な表現を排し、モーツァルトの美しさを端的に描き出すロスバウトの手腕は驚くべきもので、協奏曲ではソリストを尊重し、アリアでは歌手を引き立てながらも、きびきびとしたテンポによる清冽な伴奏を付けている。ピアノ協奏曲集ではアンダ、カサドシュを始めとした名手たちと共演、中でもグルダと共演した23番のピアノ協奏曲は、簡潔なオーケストラの響きをバックに悠然と歌うグルダのピアノも聴きもので、初発売以来、名盤と讃えられている録音。ホルン協奏曲ではブレインの独奏にも注目。一連のコンサート・アリアも貴重な記録であり、シュザンヌ・ダンコが歌う「どうしてあなたを忘れられようか」-「恐れないで、愛する人よ」はベルクマンのピアノの優しい響きも相俟って、オーケストラが極めて親密な音楽を奏でている。
