── 旅をするサトシたちの前に、空から突然幻のポケモン・ボルケニオンが降ってきた!人里離れた「ネーベル高原」で、人間に傷つけたれたポケモンたちと共に暮らすボルケニオンは人間たちのことが大嫌い。急いで立ち去ろうとするのだが、なぜかサトシまで一緒に引っ張られてしまう。なんと二人は不思議な鎖でいつのまにか繋がってしまっていたのだ! 仕方なくボルケニオンはサトシを引きずりながら「アゾット王国」を目指して走り始めた。一方で、巨大な歯車がまわり続ける超カラクリ都市・アゾット王国。大臣のジャービスは長年探し求めていた究極の発明を手に入れていた。それは500年前に王国で生み出され行方不明となっていた人造ポケモン・マギアナと、そのマギアナに宿るといわれる「ソウルハート」という未知なる力。ジャービスはその力を利用して王国を支配しようとたくらみ、ボルケニオンは、連れ去られたマギアナを取り戻そうとしていたのだ!人間を信用できないボルケニオンだったが、鎖で繋がれたサトシと何度もぶつかりながら次第に強い信頼関係で結ばれていく。二人はマギアナを取り戻すことができるのか?ポケモン至上最高の感動がキミを待っている! 書き下ろしジャケット。
