I've enjoyed listening to the Yoshida Brothers' progressive shamisen music because they combine a traditional instrument with modern and international influences. "Rising" is an upbeat song with a rock-feel to it; both the shamisen and the guitar start out strong keep things going until the end. The "Rising~Complete Mix" is a minute longer than the first version and has an extended cool-down part in the middle. The last track "Rising/Dawn" is much slower-paced but has the same melody as Rising; it's very calming and serene. A definite must-buy for fans. If you've never listened to the Yoshida Brothers, this will change your view on how cool shamisen can be.
