Lush greenery, sparkling clear streams, a clear sky, snow falling without a sound. The beautiful landscape, "Scenery", woven by Hokkaido-born pianist Ryo Fukui, lives on here forever. His fresh and delicate playing captivated many listeners, and this first album, "Scenery", is now highly acclaimed worldwide. Fukui began playing piano at the age of 22 and recorded this album at 28. His single-minded performance from his youth gently stirs the listener's emotions. Highlights include the open, striding swing of "It Could Happen To You", the refreshing joy of "Early Summer", and "Scenery", as if infused with the night air of late autumn.
