2022年京都で結成された、オルタナティブユニットSummer Whalesが待望の初CDリリース! 活動開始直後から4か月連続配信シングルリリースを行い、「SUMMER SONIC 2023」出演や「つくばロックフェス'23」「SYNCHRONICITY'24」など既にライブハウスシーンやラジオ局などで、その名を知らしめつつあるSummer Whalesの、自身初となるフィジカル盤である、1st E.P.『Doughy』のリリースが決定した。既に配信では7曲とリリースを重ねているが、今作は全てが初公開となる5曲を収録。渋いグルーヴ感に酔いしれる「Stroller」や、爆発力満載のロックチューン「Crack!」、どこか切なく、美しいメロディが心を揺らすミドルバラード「Chasing Your Shadow」など、Summer Whalesの持つ楽曲センスと振れ幅が光る、珠玉の1st E.P.となっている。
