In the Special Bonus Track, an approx. 24-minute "Full Suite Super Arr Ver." by Kei Takanishi explodes with energy! -- "Hyper Duel" was released in October 1993 by Technosoft, the software maker known for the popular "Thunder Force" series. A legendary arcade game, it is a shooter made by the staff behind "Thunder Force" that also takes on a new challenge with a system that lets the player change form into a robot to suit the state of the battle. It was also ported to the Sega Saturn in November 1996. To commemorate this year's 33rd anniversary of the arcade version and 30th anniversary of the Sega Saturn version, SEGA Music Co., Ltd. releases "Technosoft Music Collection - HYPER DUEL -", the CD that is the 7th installment of the "Technosoft Soundtrack" series! A wealth of BGM that Technosoft fans and "Thunder Force" fans must hear is vividly revived through the latest recording and remastering. It is a 2-disc set. Disc I contains the arcade version, newly digitally recorded and released on CD for the first time. It also features an unprecedented approx. 24-minute non-stop medley of all the tracks, "HYPER DUEL -Full Suite Super Arr Ver.-", by Kei Takanishi, the arranger and composer by now familiar from Technosoft Music Collection. Enjoy the series' finest arrangement version, which raises the appeal of the original songs even further! Disc II, the bonus disc, contains the sound sources of the Sega Saturn version, remastered. In addition to all the "Saturn Mode" tracks in the full-length versions included on the previous album, it also fully includes the "Arcade Mode" sound sources that differ from the actual arcade hardware. The booklet carries comments from Naosuke Arai, former head of the Technosoft development office, as well as from Kei Takanishi and others. Experience the transforming-robot shooter revolution (metamorphosis) once again through music.
