[AOR誕生40周年記念 AOR CITY 1000] 元祖AORといわれるボズ・スキャッグス『シルク・ディグリーズ』発売40周年 ! 今なお人気が高い70～80年代のAOR作品をお求めやすい「千円」で発売 ! シリーズ監修はLight Mellowで知られる金澤寿和氏。大瀧詠一『A LONG VACATION』で知られるイラスト界の巨匠・永井博氏が本シリーズの共通アートワークを提供。 ◇60年代にはキングスメンというバンドにドラマーとして在籍し、70年代はソングライターとして活動。本作は1979年に大阪の輸入レコード店から人気に火が付き、1980年に異例の「関西限定」発売が実現した(その後全国発売)。当時人気を集めていたボズ・スキャッグスやボビー・コールドウェルと並ぶAORの旗手と呼ばれ、日本独自の名盤として定着している。ソウルフルなヴォーカルと哀愁漂うメロディーが絡み合うタイトル曲は、ラジオを中心に流行し、オリコンにもランキングされるヒットになった。アーニー・ワッツ(sax)、リー・スクラー(b)らが参加。 ◆期間生産限定盤 (2018年3月31日まで) / AOR誕生40周年記念 / ライナーノーツ / オリジナル発売日: 1979年
