[AOR誕生40周年記念 AOR CITY 1000] 元祖AORといわれるボズ・スキャッグス『シルク・ディグリーズ』発売40周年 ! 今なお人気が高い70～80年代のAOR作品をお求めやすい「千円」で発売 ! シリーズ監修はLight Mellowで知られる金澤寿和氏。大瀧詠一『A LONG VACATION』で知られるイラスト界の巨匠・永井博氏が本シリーズの共通アートワークを提供。 ◇1938年、ウェストヴァージニア州の小さな炭鉱町で生まれ、軍隊生活の後LAで音楽活動を始める。1971年にデビュー。1985年リリースの本作には、デヴィッド・フォスター(key)、ラリー・カールトン(g)、ネイサン・イースト(b)、ラルフ・マクドナルド(perc)といった腕自慢のスタジオ・ミュージシャンが集められたが、ゆったりとした都会的な情緒を持ったビルの持ち味はそのまま。とてもリラックスしたムードの中で、ビル流のアダルト・コンテンポラリーに仕上がっている。家族と過ごす時間を大切にしたいという理由から、このアルバムを最後に音楽活動を休止したが、今なおカムバックを望む声が後を絶たない。 ◆期間生産限定盤 (2018年3月31日まで) / AOR誕生40周年記念 / ライナーノーツ
