Baboon Moon

[Machine Translation] Nils Petter Molvell, a leading figure in Norway's future jazz scene and a quietly popular trumpet player whose "In a Silent Way" furthers the spirit of Electric Miles, has moved from ECM to Universal to Sony Music. He has been playing the trumpet for the past three years. For his first album, "Baboon Moon," the group members have changed as well as the label. On guitar is Stian Vesterhofs of Jaga Jazzist (who also produced the album), an amazing group revitalizing the Norwegian future jazz scene, and on drums is the Norwegian psych-blues band The album is a further implementation of NPM's intentions, with Arlan Dahlen of the Norwegian psych-blues band Madrugada on drums. Jazz, ambient, electronica, drone, blues, world music, funk... all these musical elements are parallel on this album. This is future music!
