Yes, the legendary progressive rock band, return with their first new album in about three years. Formed in London in 1968 around Chris Squire and Jon Anderson, Yes helped lead the progressive rock boom of the 1970s, produced numerous classic albums, and came to be regarded as one of the five great progressive rock bands alongside Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and Genesis, leaving a major mark on rock history. This release is the band's 24th studio album, arriving three years and one month after 2023's "Mirror to the Sky." In addition to the five members of Yes, the project brings together a formidable eight-person team including engineer Curtis Schwartz, orchestral arranger Paul K. Joyce, and cover artist Roger Dean. Compared with the previous two albums, this one makes fuller use of material contributed by each member, resulting in a more balanced group effort rather than a Steve Howe-centered work. The 13-minute-plus, four-movement suite "Countermovement" stands out as one of the album's major highlights. Steve Howe once again serves as producer, following the previous album. Includes an English booklet with lyrics and a Japanese booklet with newly written liner notes and translations.
