How can Jeff Lynne continue to create brilliant music now that he's more than seventy years old? I don't know the answer, but he's doing it. This album is better than the last album, Alone in the Universe, issued under the Jeff Lynne's ELO name. "Time of Our Life" is especially wonderful, but I'm sure I'm prejudiced since I was at the Wembley concert it was written about. Little known bonus: Jeff plays cello on "Losin' You." This Blu-Spec CD is worth the investment for the extra oomph it gives the music.

Even the "flying saucer" on the cover suggests: "Somewhere I already came across this ..." The same situation is under the cover ... There are undoubtedly several excellent compositions. I don't think that Jeff was trying to “shade” Secret Messages 35th Anniversary Edition ... boring.
