this was syd barrets second and last album released in 1970 50 years ago, this one is a bit better then the first one but it was and still sounds like syd trying to find himself & a sound but is a classic psyche record becouse the artists name was SYD BARRET the founder of pink floyd who got kicked out of his own band in 1968 the year after they released there first psyche classic PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN. anyway this is a beautiful blu spec 2 remastered for japan only disc and comes in a very nice mini lp replication sleeve of the first japan edition of this lp right down to the original obi strip ( i belive), the disc itself sounds amazing!!

[SYD BARRETT PAPERSLEEVE COLLECTION(2)] デビュー作からわずか10か月後に世に送り出されながら、結果的に最後のオリジナル・アルバムとなったソロ第2弾。ピンク・フロイドのデヴィッド・ギルモアとリチャード・ライトがプロデュースを務め、そのふたりとともに前作にも参加したジェリー・シャーリーとウィリー・ウィルソン、チューブ奏者のヴィック・セイウェルらがバックの演奏を担当。アビイ・ロード・スタジオを使ってレコーディングされた。ライトによるキーボードの音色が全体の緊張感を和らげており、牧歌的でソフティケイトされた面も垣間見せながら、あたかも彼の心の深淵を覗くかのごとき妖しさを孕んだブリティッシュ・アシッド・フォークの逸品。リリース前に出演したBBCのラジオ番組でも披露された「ベイビー・レモネード」「ジゴロおばさん」「興奮した象」などを収録。アートワークは今回もヒプノシスのチームが手がけつつ、表ジャケットには本人が描いた昆虫の絵が使われている。 解説・歌詞・対訳付。紙ジャケット仕様。
