This is one of the ALAN PARSONS's most pop, fresh and accessible album. Not very progressive. The songs have catchy and clean symphonic arrangements. This record has not extremely sophisticated composition; it's rather the production and the quality of the recording that are sophisticated. The voice is outstanding! The instrumental tracks are well made and it is always a pleasure to listen them. Actually, there are no bad songs on this record.

I love Alan Parsons and am also very happy about he sound quality now available through Blu Spec CD2 formate, but I really wonder why not the best is made available, i.e. SHM-SACD? The titles in SHM-SACD formate I own are mostly superb and paired with the detail of Alan Parsons works this would certainly be a musical highlight, even more so as all titles sound great, even the oldest. Maybe someone has the answer for this ?
I highly recommend this BS CD2 release of APP Eye In The Sky. I have the SHM mini lp version & it is excellent but this new version has even more detail & clarity. I know I Robot is due for a deluxe edition soon, hopefully it receives the BS CD2 treatment & maybe Tales Of Mystery & Imagination as well!! Five++++++ stars!!!!!
