日本のみでデジタル・リマスター+ボーナス・トラック付きで発売されるローラの'76作品。前作「魂の叫び」から5年、自作品としては実に6年ぶりのアルバム。私生活のトラブルが原因で音楽生活から身を引いていた彼女が久々に発表した本作は、彼女のルーツともいえるジャズの香りに満ちたアルバムとなった。ジョン・トロペイ、リチャード・デイヴスなどNYの一流ミュージシャンを従えて、ソウル、ジャズにまたがるクロスオーヴァー・サウンドを作り上げている。初期の作品群に見られたハード・エッジな感じが消え、まろやかな優しさが見え隠れする佳作。今回はボーナス・トラックとしてこのアルバム制作時のデモ・トラックを収録。 1976年作品。 2008年デジタル・リマスター (日本のみ)。米盤オリジナル紙ジャケット復刻。解説、歌詞対訳付き。
