[We Want Jazz 176] Born in Kyoto in 1945. As a jazz singer, in the 1970s she produced albums with overseas musicians. She later moved her base to LA, and has left works transcending the genres of jazz / fusion / R&B, including "Butterfly" (1979), a collaboration album with Herbie Hancock. This work includes not only dance numbers such as a cover of Hi-Gloss's dance classic "You'll Never Know" and the disco funk "You Take My Breath Away", but also standards such as Bacharach's "Alfie" and "I Will Wait for You" from the film "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg". Masanori Sasaji, Terumasa Hino and others participated in the recording. Kiwami Hi-Fi CD / Onsho label format.

[We Want Jazz 176] 1945年、京都生まれ。ジャズ・シンガーとして70年代は海外のミュージシャンたちとアルバムを制作。その後LAに拠点を移し、ハービー・ハンコックとの共演盤『バタフライ』(1979年)などジャズ/フュージョン/R&Bのジャンルを超えた作品を残している。本作にはハイ・グロスによるダンス・クラシック「ユール・ネヴァー・ノウ」のカヴァーや、ディスコ・ファンク「ユー・テイク・マイ・ブレス・アウェイ」といったダンス系だけでなく、バカラックの「アルフィー」や、映画『シェルブールの雨傘』の「アイ・ウィル・ウエイト・フォー・ユー」などのスタンダードも収録。録音には笹路正徳、日野皓正らが参加している。極HiFiCD/音匠レーベル仕様。
