Description

[We Want Jazz 175] Born in Kyoto in 1945. She began musical activity from the 1960s, and in the 1970s produced albums one after another with overseas artists. She later moved her base to Los Angeles and created the monument "Butterfly", a collaboration album with Herbie Hancock (p). This album, following the previous work, is a Los Angeles recording produced by Richard Rudolph. Lee Ritenour (g), Nathan East (b), Harvey Mason (ds), John Robinson (ds) and others participated. It includes the title track, also popular as wa-mono boogie / disco, and "Killing Me Softly", which differs in flavor from Roberta Flack's original with a swingy take.
