ブルックナー: 交響曲第4番「ロマンティック」[2001年ハンブルク・ライヴ] / ギュンター・ヴァント (指揮)
[ベスト・クラシック100極 (31)] 当ディスクのブルックナー「ロマンティック」は、ギュンター・ヴァントのラスト・レコーディングとなったもの。2001年10月から11月にかけて、89歳のヴァントは北ドイツ放送響のこのブルックナー「ロマンティック」をメインの演目とするハンブルク定期を3回振った後、故郷ヴッパータールとフランクフルトへのツアーを行ない絶賛を浴びたが、翌年90歳の誕生日を迎えた1か月後に逝去したため、これらがヴァントにとって生涯最後の演奏会となった。当ディスクの演奏はそのハンブルク定期で収録されたもので、ひたすら音楽に奉仕してきたヴァントの生涯最後を飾る大演奏。緻密さと自由さが絶妙に組み合わされ、巨匠の歩みを完結させるかのような美しい「白鳥の歌」。 極HiFiCD仕様/音匠レーベル仕様。
