Description
[Machine Translation] In 2012, world-renowned violinist Teiko Maebashi celebrated 50 years since the start of her performing career. She studied at the Leningrad Conservatory, then at the Juilliard School in the U.S., and then in Switzerland under the virtuoso violinists Szigeti and Mirshtein before returning to Japan in 1980. DISC 1 is a collection of concertos with orchestra, and DISC 2 is a selection of solo works. DISC2 contains a song from her latest album ("Avex"), which was released after her transfer from Avex, making this a set that truly traces the trajectory of Teiko Maebashi through her discography. The jacket was photographed by Kishin Shinoyama.

2012年、演奏活動開始から実に50年という記念の年を迎えた世界的ヴァイオリニスト、前橋汀子。若くして海外に渡り、日本人としては初めてレニングラード音楽院に留学、その後アメリカのジュリアード音楽院、続いてスイスで名手シゲティとミルシテインに師事して80年に帰国。以後、ソニーミュージック専属ヴァイオリニストとして15枚のアルバムを発表したこの名手の偉業を記念して、ソニーミュージックに録音した音源からベスト・テイクを2枚のCDに収録したベスト・アルバムを発売。DISC1は管弦楽団との共演による協奏曲集、DISC2はソロ作品からのセレクト。DISC2には弊社から移籍後の最新アルバム(エイベックス)から1曲収録され、まさにディスコグラフィでたどる前橋汀子の軌跡としてのセットとなっている。ジャケット撮影は篠山紀信。
