前作『Blues for K』(SCOL-1062)で再会した山本剛と、TBMレーベルの元エンジニア神成芳彦。『ミッドナイト・シュガー』『ミスティ』など数々の日本発・世界的名盤を生み出してきたこのコンビが、栃木県那須高原にある神成のプライベートスタジオで吹き込んだこの作品は、多くのオーディオ誌に取り上げられ、また〈ジャズオーディオディスク大賞2022 銀賞〉も受賞するなど、大きな話題と高い評価を得た。そして2023年、「ぜひプロスタジオでの録音でも聴いてみたい!」という声にお応えすべく、神成芳彦が東京・音響ハウスに登場! かつてTBMレーベルもレコーディングを行った日本を代表するこのスタジオで再び腕を鳴らす。選曲は山本剛が敬愛してやまないエロール・ガーナーを中心としたバラッド集。両者にとって原点回帰にして挑戦的な作品に仕上がった。
