テクノの名門レーベル「R&S/アポロ」に残した『キッチン』や『30.7.94 Live』などのヒットによってアンビエント・テクノのパイオニアとして揺るぎない地位を確立している、トム・シールとマックス・ローダーバウアーのふたりからなるベルリンの音楽ユニット「サン・エレクトリック」。その90年代最盛期のライヴ音源を、マックス・ローダーバウアーと「アンビック」で活動を共にするパーカッション奏者のサミュエル・ローラーが主宰するベルリンのレーベル「Arjunamusic Records」がアルバム化。ライヴは1996年10月にオーストリアはウィーンのヴォティーフ教会でおこなわれたもの。今回の作品化にあたりエンジニアのインゴ・クラウスがミックスをほどこしている。シンセのリフやレイヤーが生み出す夢のような心地よさ、恍惚、浮遊感、教会ならではの空間を活かした独特の余韻・・・ 四半世紀以上前に作られたものでありながらすべてが現在進行形のエレクトロニック音楽とパーフェクトにリンク。圧巻のライヴ・サウンドが放つ眩いばかりの輝きは、名作と謳われた『30.7.94 Live』と比べてみても全く遜色ありません。
