[Machine Translation] This is the best we can do. Pulp releases their long-awaited new album, their first in almost 24 years! Pulp, one of the most brilliant bands in the 90's Britpop scene and headliners at rockin'on sonic held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in early 2025, has released their first new album in 24 years ( Rough Trade Records). Pulp returns with the highly addictive anthem "Spike Island". The song combines synthesizers, violin, and slide guitar, with producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Fontaine's D.C.) adding further polish to the sound. The lyrics are based on the experiences of Jason Buckle ( Relaxed Muscle ), who co-wrote the songs. Buckle had been to the Stone Roses' infamous Spike Island show, where the DJ yelled "Spike Island, come alive! The DJ kept yelling "Spike Island, come alive! This story stuck with Jarvis Cocker and inspired him to write a new song about Spike Island, even though he did not go to the show. Includes bilingual lyrics and commentary. This product will be available for sale on Friday and will be released simultaneously worldwide, so products will be delivered on or after the day of release.
