To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the 11th film in the 007 series, "Moonraker," the original motion picture score by composer John Barry has been newly remastered and reissued as a 2-CD set. Academy Award-winning composer John Barry continued to bring outstanding creativity to the Bond series with thrilling and romantic scores, captivating audiences worldwide with the music of 007. Shirley Bassey returns for her third Bond title song, with lyrics by Hal David. For this release, the soundtrack has been further expanded beyond previous editions and will be issued as a deluxe version with greatly enhanced audio quality. Remixed and mastered from high-resolution digital transfers of 2-inch tapes provided by MGM, this 2-CD set is limited to 5,000 copies worldwide. Disc 1 presents the score in film order, followed by previously unavailable music, source music recorded for the film, and additional versions of score cues. Disc 2 includes the original 1979 soundtrack album, along with an alternate version of the title song newly edited for this release. Import edition / Original release date: October 2, 1979.
