世界中のクリエイターが注目! ガンバが新たな旋風を巻き起こす。今から約40年前の1972年に刊行された一冊の児童文学「冒険者たち ガンバと15ひきの仲間」。小さなネズミを主人公にしたその壮大な冒険物語は、子供だけでなく大人をも魅了し、幅広い年代に愛されている。その「ガンバ」が、『ALWAYS 三町目の夕日』や『STAND BY ME ドラえもん』を手掛けた映像制作会社・白組によって3DCGアニメーションになって登場!! 脚本は、多くのヒット映画やTVドラマを手掛ける古沢良太。プロデューサーは、『X-MEN』『スパイダーマン』などで知られるアヴィ・アラッド。音楽を担当するのは、ベンジャミン・ウォルフィッシュ。フルオーケストラによる躍動感に満ちたスコアで楽しませてくれる。そして、主題歌は、小沢健二の97年のシングル「ぼくらが旅に出る理由」を倍賞千恵子が歌唱。心にしみる歌声を披露してくれる。
