Joe Hisaishi has a great merit, to emotionalise and to amplify the sentiments of Kitano's marvelous movies. "Kikujiro no natsu" soundtrack is like the movie: fun, sad, sweet and glum. This is the perfect background for this unique movie. All tracks are great compositions. The main theme perfectly underline the character of Masao. The other tracks represent well the various moments of the film. Every Kitano's work is not the same without Hisaishi's music and viceversa. Thereafter if you love Takeshi Kitano, you can't refuse to love Joe Hisaishi. They are the two faces of the same medal. If you need some sweet and relaxing music buy this album, you won't repent about it.
